Integrative Medicine (IM) is a philosophy of healthcare with a focus on individualised patient care. It combines the best of current western medical practices with traditional and complementary medicines and practices.
Welcome to Te Ora Integrative Health
We provide high quality integrative medicine in a relaxed and friendly space.
Integrative medicine stands at the forefront of a new era in health care, redefining the conventional approach to healing and wellness by embracing the interconnectedness of physical, emotional, mental, environmental, social and spiritual health. Unlike traditional medical practices that often focus on alleviating symptoms, integrative medicine seeks to address the root causes of illness while nurturing the body’s innate capacity for healing, using the most appropriate, safe and evidence-informed treatments.
We offer face-to-face medical appointments, in addition to providing zoom or phone consultations. We are very pleased to have Ximena Hunefeldt join us in June. She is a highly skilled and experienced doctor who is working Mondays and Tuesdays. This means that we now have 3 integrative medicine doctors working at Te Ora, as well as 2 other doctors (including an integrative neurologist) offering online consultations.
To make an initial appointment, please go to the Contact page and fill in the online casual patient form and questionnaire.
Dr Tim Ewer (MB ChB, MMedSc, MRCP, FRACP, FRNZCGP, DCH, DRCOG, Dip Occ Med, FACNEM) is vocationally qualified as both a physician and general practitioner. Tim has been working as a specialist in integrative medicine for the last 30 years, before which he was a hospital physician for 10 years after gaining his medical degree and specialist qualifications in the UK.
